Promaster Custom Van Builds
“Pinewood” 2015 Ram Promaster 2500 cargo van
This beautiful cargo van was built for a client who wanted to live/work on the road. Built using cedar shiplap, fiberglass insulation, foam insulation, vinyl flooring, and various other materials, this van has everything you need to stay on the grid or off. While building this van I found the size and spacing very friendly and just about the right size for one person. This Promaster has a “U” shape bed with an adjustable-rotating table that folds down to make almost a queen-size bed. Under the bed, you have additional storage with a 15-gallon grey and freshwater tank. The kitchen rests on a 7’ butcher block countertop with running water, a 2 burner stove, and a biomimetic fridge. Other, features this kitchen has are plenty of storage and drawer space with upper cabinets. Across from the kitchen is a small closet able to hold 12 hangers and an additional storage area with a pull-out composting toilet. The power needs for this vehicle are primarily handled by (2) 300ah lithium batteries and a 400-watt solar panel system. Additionally, there is a small 2.5kw diesel heater that will keep you toasty even on the coldest night.
